My Name
I was born Jeremy Todd Gill but I go by Todd. My folks liked the name Todd but couldn’t come up with anything that fits in between Todd and Gill that didn’t sound awkward. I can understand their dilemma. Todd and Gill each have just one syllable which means that anything other than four syllables in between just won’t sound right. Right? The solution: Put Todd in the middle and as long as you don’t choose another one-syllable name, you’re set. They chose Jeremy and then spread the word that I’d go by Todd.
And now you know why I’m such a perfectionist.
My Family
I am married to Sarah Fortune Gill and we live in a small house in Fayetteville, Arkansas with our dog, Sadie Pup. Our cat Cindy Crawford up and left us in December 2009. No, seriously. She just left and never came back. Everett showed up a couple of months later. Here’s his favorite spot to chill.
My Work
I am co-owner of Wonderstate Media which operates the Fayetteville Flyer and Local540. Both are online resources that serve my neck of the woods. I work too much but love what I do, so in my mind, that makes it OK.
My Life
I was born in Memphis but ended up in Fayetteville by the time I reached first grade. I attended Root Elementary, Woodland Jr. High and then Fayetteville High School. After graduating, I decided to stick around enroll at the University of Arkansas where I received a bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Public Relations through the Journalism department. Yes, Journalism. No, it doesn’t quite make sense.
I spent the first ten years of my career working for the largest advertising agency in Arkansas as a graphic designer and interactive art director. It should be noted, though, that during those first ten years, I took a couple of breaks.
I spent three months in Park City, Utah working at a popular winter resort as an unpopular ski lift operator. I also spent a couple of years in Memphis when I left to tour with some good friends of mine, Lucero. Their guitar player temporarily left the band so I filled in both on the road and in the studio for their third full-length album, That Much Further West.
Leaving Fayetteville is sometimes a good thing, but coming back always feels right.

Todd,
I was told we are cousins by Sandy and Peter B. I have more information re: family but I would rather we talk through email which is more private. I am looking for family background information.
Thanks, Kelly
